SABLES COMMITTEE
Wildlife education, women's leadership and the future of hunting sit at the heart of the Sables mission. The Sables of the Safari Club International Foundation unite women, men and youth who care about preserving our outdoor heritage and promoting ethical hunting and conservation around the world. The group takes its name from the sable antelope, an animal known for its power, glossy coat and protective nature, which reflects the spirit of this community.

OUR ROOTS
Created in 1984 as a group of women working alongside SCI, the Sables opened the door for hunters, non hunters and conservation supporters to come together with a shared purpose. Women now represent the fastest growing segment in hunting, and the Sables welcome this momentum with open arms. Youth involvement is an important part of the legacy being built.
LAKE SUPERIOR CHAPTER INITIATIVE
The Lake Superior Chapter is proud to launch its own Sables Committee. We invite women and young outdoor enthusiasts who value conservation, adventure and community to join us. Our goal is to support one another while creating opportunities for hands on learning, mentorship and personal growth.
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
Members can look forward to hunting, fishing, trap shooting, hiking and camping, along with gatherings that allow women and youth to connect in a relaxed and supportive setting. Suggestions for future outings are always welcome. Your idea might inspire our next adventure.
